WOMANHOOD SERIES

Step into your sacred power and embody the goddess within.

See You Next Year in 2026!

Each year, as the Fall Equinox approaches, I gather women in wild places to create the Womanhood Series — a ritual of art, nature, and renewal.

After over 13 years as a birth worker, holding space for families through their most tender thresholds, I sometimes feel my own well run low. This project is where I return to the fire in my belly. It’s where I feed my creative spirit, weaving vision, body, and land into something timeless.

Unlike my work at births, which is photojournalistic and ever-unfolding, the Womanhood Series is where I become both witness and guide — shaping the setting, the story, and the imagery. It is an offering. And I am forever grateful to the goddesses who, year after year, step forward to create magic with me.

Doing this project is so much more than the incredible photos that come it; it’s an embodied experience that’s healing, supportive, and empowering.

CELEBRATE YOUR BODY. HONOR YOUR SPIRIT. BECOME ART.

I felt so incredibly beautiful and powerful in my postpartum body.

DETAILS

I look for 5–7 adventurous goddesses — women of all colors, shapes, and sizes, in any season of their lives. I want the full spectrum, the rainbow of human bodies.

  • Babies (0–12 months) may be considered (1–2 maximum).

  • Children over 2 years old will not be part of this series.

  • Both group and individual images will be created, captured on medium format film and digital cameras.

  • The setting will be outdoors in nature — a living canvas of earth, wind, and light.

Release judgment, embrace beauty, and celebrate your essence.

It was the most incredible experience EVER. I felt so safe, seen, and loved, not to mention had a blast with everyone there and left with new lifelong friends.

FAQ

  • Not at all. This series is about authenticity, not perfection. I will guide you every step of the way.

  • If selected, a non-refundable $200 fee is required to ensure you are committed to the project, and cover my minimum costs. In exchange for being a model, you will receive the complete gallery including individual and group images.

  • Yes — this project celebrates the raw, natural beauty of the body. That said, all posing is done with consent, comfort, and respect in mind, and tasteful censorship will be used when possible.

  • It’s completely normal to feel that way. Many women enter this experience outside their comfort zone — and leave feeling empowered, free, and proud of themselves.

  • Perfect! I want the rainbow of human bodies — all colors, shapes, and sizes are celebrated.

  • The location may require 30-45 minutes of walking, sometimes over uneven terrain, and possibly light climbing. Surprisingly modeling can be exhausting while holding positions for a period of time to get the shot.

  • Myself as the photographer and the other selected women (women friends/babysitters are also welcome and helpful for on-site support).

  • Yes, the Womanhood Series is a fine art project intended for public sharing. Signing a full model release will be required, granting me to use the images as I see fit.

I honor each participant deeply. While this is an art series and your images will be part of the project, I will never share your personal details without your permission.

  • We will leave Santa Barbara in the afternoon (1-2pm) to get to our location and the goal is to start our session by 4:30pm. Sunset is at 6:30pm and that will complete our day.

  • Yourself - makeup free, an open heart, sturdy shoes for walking/climbing, comfortable light clothing, water, snacks, robe or towel.

  • Yes — babies 0–12 months may be considered (1–2 maximum). Children older than 2 will not be included in this series.

The entire experience was not just so worth it to come away with incredible photos at the end, but being able to participate in the creation of such a powerful vision and such powerful art is something I will never ever forget.
